Mike Zeller, CEO, and Mike Laddin, CFO of Flying Truss, will provide an update on progress, opening date, and other exciting news about the Rock Island Bridge, the world’s first destination railroad bridge—right here in Kansas City.

Michael Zeller serves as President of Flying Truss, LLC. With assistance from his partners, Michael has led the Rock Island Bridge project from its inception, including creation of the business model, partnerships, designs, and the securing of funds.

Michael has extensive management experience. He served as Chief Development and Community Partnerships Officer for Kansas City PBS / 90.9 The Bridge, where he led the team charged with developing events (more than 50 per year), programs and projects for the TV & radio enterprises, and all fund raising. During his tenure, KCPBS acquired 90.9 The Bridge, launched a digital journalism center, completed a $9,000,000 capital campaign and developed an array of Emmy Award winning programs and documentaries. Gross revenue grew from $7 million to $12 million under Michael’s stewardship.Â

Michael earned a master’s degree in Economic Geography from the University of Missouri. He’s lived and worked in Taipei, Prague and most recently in Munich where he consulted at BMW. Michael served on the Academy Lafayette Charter School Board for 13 years, where as Vice President he led the purchase, renovation, and expansion of the Cherry Street School in Hyde Park.Â
Michael Laddin serves as the Chief Financial Officer of Flying Truss, LLC. Michael started and led 15 years Results Matter, a Kansas City firm providing consulting services in leadership, management, management team assessment, and strategic planning. Prior to that, Mike was the Founder and CEO of LeaderPoint, a global research and business management training firm.
Mike holds a BS in Psychology from Fort Hays University, an MS in Clinical Psychology from Pittsburg State and an MBA in Finance from Rockhurst University.
